LibraryThing bests Vanatu
I get a lot of LinkedIn requests. Today's came with a factoid:
According to this website, that means LinkedIn has more than 9,001,800 members. Which leads me to the following LibraryThing factoids:
Vanatu, baby, Vanatu. Not some teeny-weeny place like Tonga, Andorra or Liechtenstein. Vanatu!
Fact: More people have joined LinkedIn than live in Sweden.

Or: LibraryThing has about the same population as fifth-century Athens.
Well now THAT gets into a very tricky, thorny problem.
Except in Vanuatu, just about everyone walks everywhere because there are few paved roads (and few cars). I know LibraryThing is a laid back and carefree place, but this comparison may be a little extreme/
When can we rise up as one and march on (say)Luxembourg or better still try a full frontal assault on the LoC?
I have three distinct lifetime accounts, and I assume I am not alone in cataloging collections through multiple accounts. Is it possible LT's true population is 2/3 - 3/4 the number of usernames? (Not that you were thinking of raising an army of catalogers to march on Vanuatu or fifth-century Athens.)
I'd send my two proxies for the rising because someone has to stay behind to look after the missus and the children, so to speak.
And I'm not a coward either......
